Disk Golf Course

Disk Golf Course

Little Falls should soon have a Disk Golf Course.  If you are wondering what Disk Golf is, it is a game which a concave plastic disc is thrown into each of a series of metal baskets situated on an outdoor course, the object being to complete the course using the fewest amount of throws (google). There are 12 baskets, which at this time I am seeking funding for the baskets.  So far, I have 10 people who have committed to purchasing a basket.  Councilman Frank Gosiak is working on the design and location through the City of Little Falls Park Board Committee. The course will be located at the new Little Falls Area Recreation Center (ARC).  This is the second project that will be completed that was part of the original layout.
Thanks to all the great people in Little Falls that are sponsoring a basket we will be able to complete the course early next spring.

UPDATE: I did receive funding from local businesses for 12 disk golf baskets.  Councilman Frank Gosiak worked with local disk golf enthusiasts to develop a course. The 12 baskets would have been a good start for an amazing Little Falls Disk Golf Course, but the Little Falls City Council agreed to not allow a Disk Golf Course at the Little Falls Area Recreation Center (ARC).  I should say that Councilman Jeremy Hanfler never allowed the course to be brought to a vote, he plainly said “no”. Councilman Hanfler had an issue on where Councilman Gosiak wanted to put the course, he did not want the course at the Little Falls Area Recreation Center with no explanation on why not. It has now gone away with no more discussion! This happens too much at City Hall!
